Google Drive Offline Docs support

I wanted to ask if there is a way of viewing Google Drive documents offline? I also mean to be able to create them like it is possible in chrome. I am no expert bu should that not be possible if the data is stored offline anyway?

I am afraid that none of these suffice. I wanted to be able to access and create Google Docs offline. :(
Have you tried Google Help or a Google support forum?
