Firefox displays photographs with green fringe.

The photographs displayed show a green fringe around the item(s) and creases/bends. When on Internet Explorer the same photographs (pictures) display properly.

Somebody has a green thumb?  ;-)

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.


Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images. Try to disable color management to test if it is caused by a problem with color management. You can set the gfx.color_management.mode pref to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management. You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective. See:
