How can I make a picture's background transparent in Thunderbird. I don't want to go into another program like Microsoft Publisher to do it.
My email pages have a colored background which I want to show through the pictures usually white background.

A picture has to be created with a transparent background in the first place in a graphics editing program for this to work in any situation, whether it is for an e-mail or a webpage. An e-mail program or web browser cannot magically do this for you.
I posted this question because sometime ago I got and add-on from Mozilla Support which allowed me to resize images as I send the e-mail. Therefore, I thought that there might be an add-on to let me make the background transparent. Lacking that I'll use Publisher. Thanks Bruce
