Firefox is preventing www.Inksr.com from redirecting. The site tries every couple minutes. It is annoying because the blank page keeps popping up every minute or so and Firefox keeps preventing it. I do not want to redirect to this website but I want them to stop trying. I have my options set correctly but it will not quit. My security software is not catching it.

When do you get this redirect?

Is that when you (try to) visit other websites?

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can look for suspicious extensions.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
