Few questions here 80 % of the time get a update to firefox, after updates get a msg " could not find the mozilla runtime". so thankfully I have ie to get back to the inet and download the new updated version then uninstall and install the new version.. This has been going on for the past year,(I realize the using xp is not right but still), also running norton 360 and spybot 1.6 do not disable it when run the update.. Any ideas ?? Some day may not have ie to get the new version download so other than download it first if get this error is there a way around to get to the inet to download the new version ?? Also the settings for accepting cookies from sites, sometimes these remain other times they all disappear, this just occurred with ver 39 update on my laptop with win 7 (does not run norton, but eset nod) and has happened with xp previously and prior to being discontinued. Why does firefox get updates like every week ??? Seems extreme and un-necessay to me

Its possible that other add ons or extensions are also updating if you have these set to automatic updates.

No I am manually doing the updates. Only set to notify me.
