When I restored the Mac from TimeMachine after the upgrade, none of the Archives folders / emails came with it. The folders show up empty.

I went into Library>Thunderbird>Profiles> and found a 1 KB file associated with the respective Archives folders.

I may have a backup in Carbonite that has these files.

Many thanks in advance!

Looks like the Thunderbird profile wasn't backed up?

In any case, what is your question?

Thank you. This happened for three different account's Archives - all accounts associated with a GoDaddy Account. POP server, not IMAP.

My question is where on Earth might the profiles be hidden? Apple assures me that Time Machine captures everything on the hard drive, so I am hopeful that the files are somewhere on the backup. I followed the T-bird directions for making an Archive.

Again, thanks!

For the profile location see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird

Note, archiving and profile backup are entirely different things from a Thunderbird point of view. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/archived-messages
