I can get to the internet with no problems. I can connect to facebook, yahoo, and other sites with no problem. I do a google search and it just keeps trying to connect but never does. I even tried getting on you tube and couldn't and did the other day. I type a search in yahoo and got to items. It seems the problem is related mostly to google.

go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"

Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. You can enable the Add-ons later. If this doesn't work then check these out.

None of the above worked. I didn't see the browser opt dll file. Tried connecting to you tube again and was timed out. I didn't try a google search cause I'm frustrated. tried loading something and n the side it said could not connect to adclick.

None of this will help my situation. Whenever I try to restart, press the shift key, and enter in all the boxes, I can't access anything at all from Firefox. I had to click "no proxys" in order to get back to anything. I can't access Google, Bing, Ask.com, my YouTube account, however I can access YouTube, but it tells me to download Adobe and when I do, it still doesn't work.
