FF 50.0 HOME stopped working with local file:///C:/Temp/WWW/index.html but works fine with external URL or if I add local file URL to URL field and press ENTER.
Firefox 50.0 HOME button stopped working with local file:///C:/Temp/WWW/index.html
Works fine if HOME URL is either external URL or if I add my local file URL to URL field and press ENTER.
Windows 7 64 pro.
Only thing recently done was adding Ubuntu to second driver partition. Everything else works fine.
VERY strange that just a local file that I have used for years stopped working with the HOME button but external files work. If I change the HOME url to anything else external, it works.
When I am on another web page and hit the HOME button, nothing happens but the HOME icon appears as though it was pressed.
Was thinking about re-installing Firefox but would rather not lose all my settings or exporting/importing everything. Tried removing HOME button and re-installing with CUSTOMIZE but no difference.
Thanks ! boB

Appears to be a problem with Noscript addon.

I used my windows 10 laptop tonight... Firefox was version 49.01 and updating it said in help-about. Before I noticed this, firefox cam up with my c: file HOME page at first. THEN, after a while I noticed HOME did NOT work on this Lenovo laptop either !
Exited Firefox and re-opened and came up to a blank screen this time, just like my Windows 7 Dell laptop does.
I have a feeling that this may be a bug in the newer Firefox ?
Also, I notice that when I hover over my HOME icon, the proper URL
file:///C:/Temp/WWW/index.html shows up. Can not get it to go HOME.
Will see if I can downgrade to an older FireFox but I have never had to do this before.
