For some reason, some of the photos on Tumblr begin to load, but load so slowly that they never fully complete. Most pictures load quickly and fully. The wheel indicating that the page is still loading continues to spin and the loading message says something such as "Waiting for XX.media.tumblr.com." I've noticed that the issue did not start occurring until my update to 23.0. I tried degrading back to 22.0, but that didn't resolve the issue so I'm assuming it isn't the update. I've tried most troubleshooting on the website, any help?

Just letting you guys know that my problem resolved itself somehow. I'm beginning to think it was an issue with my gateway. It started to drop my connection every 15 minutes or so. I left it off overnight and now the photos are loading fine. Thanks for the help though!

It could be a addon like the Adblock Plus that the Troubleshooter detected.

Try firefox in safe mode and see if its caused by Adblock Plus.

Are there any network.http prefs on the about:config page that do not have the default value?

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps to rule out issues caused by security software.

I have tried using Firefox in safe mode, still the same issue. All network.http prefs are set to their default values. I also tried booting Windows 8 in safe mode, it seemed to help at first, but as I scrolled through more pictures there were still some that would not load fully.

Try to reset (power off/on) the router.

Try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Tried all three suggestions, none worked.

Does it have any effect if you check the images in Tools > Page Info > Media?

Can you reload a broken image via the right-click context menu on the web page (browsing window)?

more options

The images that fail to load on the page do not show up fully in Media either. Reloading image has no effect on most, but works on some, as well as right-click > View Image loading some of the images that are broken, but not all.
