In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.

Then put this in the Search field at the top. browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML Double-click that preference under Preference Name below to Search field, to toggle that pref to true.

Then close and restart Firefox. The "auto Export" happens as Firefox is closing.

Go to Help > Troubleshooting Information, then scroll down a bit to Profile Folder - click Open Folder.

In the Explorer window that opens locate the bookmarks.html file. You can copy that file, which is the same type of file that Export in the Library window would produce.

If that didn't work, you may have a corrupt Places file.

Go back the Help > Troubleshooting Information, and scroll almost all the way to the bottom to - Places Database - Integrity -click the Verify Integrity button.

When that is complete, close Firefox. When you restart Firefox check the Profile folder again to see if a bookmarks.html file was created.

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backups of files that you choose.
