Lost all data after regular update
My laptop just started up and Mozilla updated automatically to newer version 58.0.2 (64-bit). All bookmarks and previous data is missing. Just checked files under the program's folder and all previous data is gone from there too. I want to retrieve my previous data, so please any advice is welcome
Chosen solution
Just resolved the problem by creating a new profile. Digging into Windows system I was able to acces firefox appdata file and the previous profile was there, so I copied all the info to the new profile and set it up as defult. That was tough Mozilla!

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

I already looked for tha folder and it is no where within the system :(
Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there?

That was very good work. Well done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
I use an add-on that makes backups of my user profile, Just In Case. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the current Firefox.
Every now and then, open the profile folder and create a copy of the current profile as is to another location on your hard drive. This way you will have a backup.
If you do this each day, you will not lose much data. This should be done with Firefox Closed.
Note: In case you need to restore from these backups, you may need to overwrite old or corrupted files.

Thanx for your help, I will back up that way indeed :)
