But uncontrolled connections to the following addresses continue anyway:
I may have missed something and you can tell me how I can control these connections inclusive. Because all other connections can be controlled by configs and policies. But not these and it raises big questions. It seems to me that the browser should allow to configure any network requests that aren't related to the user web browsing itself. If some connections cannot be controlled in any way then I can't call it anything other than either a bug or an attempt to monitor users as do in Google Chrome.

Having a problem with Firefox the last few weeks. I'm on 64-bit version 133. When I go to a web site I get the this message:
Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at www.mozilla.org. If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later Check your network connection Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)
If I reload the page from the 'Try Again' button or the reload icon in the top menu bar it will start to display. I usually have to reload multiple times for the page to start to load. Sometimes the page loads completely the first time, Sometimes it only loads partially (i.e. only text) or only part of the page loads correctly. I reload a few more times and the page finally loads completely. This makes it very difficult to browse almost any web page. I have Firefox on 3 computers (Windows 7 & 10) and have this problem on all three. I've visited web pages in Edge without problems. Any ideas? Thanks

Running Firefox 133.0 on Ubuntu 20.04 desktop
Periodically, Firefox will freeze and send the message "Firefox must be restarted to continue". After restarting, Firefox takes a long time to recover. This morning, it took nearly 5 minutes to recover.

Hi I am using firefox 132.0.2 (64-Bit) and experiencing the following issue: As long as a site is loading I can hardly scroll through the already loaded parts of the site by using two fingers on the touchapd. If I instead use the scrollbar I have no issues at all. But when using the touchpad, firefox is not responsive. The scrolling delays several seconds or does not even work at all. I am using PiHole and probably firefox still tries to load ads which are blocked by PiHole. But as I am not interested in ads, I would like to be able to scroll throught the page while firefox still tries to load the ads. That is perfectly possible without any delay by dragging the scrollbar. But it's not possible without lags using the touchpad. There is no issue using chrome or edge. BR Ralf

Hi, using Mac OS. Have tried the about:config set the auto update configs to false, still it keeps prompting every day or a few hours . There is also a timer setting. They dont seem to work, and these update notifications are very irritating, keep popping up every 8 hours or so.
Not sure the necessity for these incessive updates every day or hours, it uses a lot of system resources and hdd space, can Firefox put back the option when we can just tick 'update only when we want them' , in these, no background timer required they use system resources and there are many of us do not want them.

"You will have to visit each link (i.e. click the bookmark) to make Firefox retrieve the favicon"
That the common advice. Never works for me. If it was actually going to work, wouldn't it be when you originally create the bookmark?.
Having these favicons saves time, makes you workflow easier. Am I correct that the problem is with the given website making it available?

Over the last month or so Firefox has been failing on my old mac OS10.15.7. I go to my mac in the morning and firefox just won't start. I try to rebuild but holding down the option key when starting the app does nothing. I restart, sometimes resetting PR. That has helped in the past but doesn't now. I have re-downloaded and re-installed. I have deleted the firefox folder in library App support. As soon as one thing works it happens again after a day. I don't know what the hell is going on but I don't like it. I have run anti-virus software and malwarebytes. They are not picking anything up.
I have another mac which uses up to date OS and that works fine.
Is it a case of using a specific older version of firefox? I have tried an older version from another boot drive (startup disk) using OS10.13 once and it also only worked for a day or so.

After updating to v 133.0, when maximizing Firefox (not F11 fullscreen), a taskbar that is set to "auto-hide" will no longer unhide when mousing to the bottom of the screen. This did not occur with the previous version (132.0.2).
This behavior is also unaffected by the "devtools.toolbox.alwaysOnTop" setting in about:config as i've tried switching from the default "true" to "false".

I am reaching out to seek assistance with a recurring issue we are experiencing in the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Issue Description: On the user's first visit to the page, the thumbnail fails to load and displays a black screen instead of the intended image. This issue is observed specifically in Firefox, while the same functionality works seamlessly across other browsers.
Steps to Reproduce: Open our webpage in Mozilla Firefox. Ensure it is the first visit (clear cache if necessary). Observe the thumbnail image section.
Expected Behavior: The thumbnail should load and display the intended image correctly.
Actual Behavior: The thumbnail displays a black screen instead.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Verified server response and headers; no anomalies found. Checked CORS policies and ensured they are configured correctly. Tested in other browsers (Chrome, Edge, etc.), where the issue does not occur.
Request for Assistance: Could you please help us identify if this issue is related to:
Any specific Firefox rendering engine behavior? Known bugs or limitations in handling thumbnails or images on the first load? Additional configurations we might need to implement for Firefox compatibility?
provide the solution on the issues i have atteched the page link as belowhttps://globalstep.com/art-page-revised-v6/

All of my desktop bookmarks are on mobile, but after resetting my password they won't sync back to my desktop. I can't even access them from my desktop, despite browsing data still being clearly accessible. I have 10 years of bookmarks on my mobile device that for whatever reason now will not transfer to my desktop firefox no matter what I try. Since there's no way to manually export to xml on mobile I have no way of accessing these and I am at risk of losing 10 years of bookmarks, many of which are vital to the work I do.
