I don't want the Tab Bar and in prior version would allow the addon Hide Tab Bar with One Tab. Is there another way to do the same thing?

Any changes you want to make the default FF looks and menus requires userChrome.css to make those changes. You will have to look online to find a userChrome.css that has what you want or create one to change the looks and function to what you want it to look like.
