Your latest update sucked! You screwed everything up! Time to change Browsers!
You had better find a way to undo what you did. You screwed up everything online for me. Not only do I now have to manually fix my settings every time I log on, not to mention that it's impossible to get it set to what it was before you screwed with it, now all my plug ins no longer work. What were you thinking? I now absolutely HATE Mozilla and will never use your browser ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did Mozilla screw up everything? You do understand we are volunteers, not Mozilla employees.

You blew it on Settings. Everything is completely enlarged now. I have to manually attempt to get it back to the way everything was on every website. What's worse is that you can't get it back to the way it was because it doesn't exist anymore. Your Update was a piece of crap and those of you that designed it are useless. In addition, I've lost my ability now to use many different websites especially Gaming sites because of that update. Don't cry hurt for me. You just pissed off everyone that uses that Firefox with this piece of crap "fix."

Firefox on Windows is now following display scaling options which may render text larger on high resolution displays. You can adjust your screen resolution. To modify it do the following:
- Type about:config into the Firefox address bar and tap on the Enter key.
- If the warning This might void your warranty appears, click I'll be careful, I promise.
- Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx
- Double-click on layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to modify its value. The default is -1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to make it work like in previous Firefox versions.
If necessary, further adjust the value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps. Use values between 1.0 and about 0.5 to reduce elements in size. Use values greater than 1.0 to increase size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase font size to 125% to accommodate the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Double check the value that you enter. Setting a too small value will make everything disappear and a too large value will blow things up.
If web pages still need to be adjusted then you can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extension.
To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the Theme Font & Size Changer extension.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
I'm sorry guys, but you cannot be serious with responses along the lines of modifying layout.css.devPixelsPerPx . Who on earth do you think most users - not web devs who have enough knowse to find this forum and build websites, USERS, website surfers... - are?
"Did this fix the problem?" Actually, I notice you actually characterise that as 'your problems', which is telling...
Of course not - the problem is that the browser now requires this to work properly!!!!!!! Remeber, years ago, Netscape crashed to nothing as the result of one flawed update. I really think FF22 is looking like that for Mozilla. Get the grown-ups back from OS duty and start making software that works properly. Sorry, tough love is what you need...
I'm a FF21 user. Beautiful.
I must admit. Mozilla doesn't seem to be trying. Twice in July supposed updates were done which completely messed up all my settings.
I need to know how to delete mozilla firefox from my system.
It even messes with internet explorer which is also on my computer.
Could someone explain to me why this is not considered an aggressive virus?
are you kidding me?
I have this problem too.
How do I get back to normal?
You must have malware, the last Firefox update was late june. And again note that we are volunteers, not mozilla employees. You can though leave comments for firefox devs by going to
Firefox button > help > Submit Feedback

I can only tell you that when i opened firefox yesterday, It did not go to my homepage , but a mozilla page saying it was going to update.
If I have malware it is from some one posing as mozilla or mozilla itself.
And I have no idea what you are talking about re: volunteers or firefox devs. Your answer is confusing and does nothing to solve the problem.
May you provide the url? Mozilla doesnt use a website to show you that you need to update.
It doesn't even matter anymore really. I've made the switch to Google Chrome and am happier with it. I'm sure many people made an Exodus away from Mozilla after that bonehead move.
