Screenshot didn't make it into your posting.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

My fault. I think i attached it correctly now.

File > Page Setup - check the Margin settings.

You can also open Page Setup from the Print Preview screen.

Default is in Millimeters and not inches and I can't figure out how to change that default. I tried the online help and it had some instructions about how to do that, but ti did not work.

A screenshot of what you are seeing might be helpful.

Display of margin / header&footer settings in Inch vs. Millimeters is determined by the Paper that is selected (last used). There's no user setting for changing that directly.

US paper sizes like Letter & Legal would show Inch measurements and "A" papers in Millimeters.

If that's not what you are seeing, it may be due to a regressive Bug that was just fixed for Firefox 48; where Inch & Metric might appear intermixed in the same dialog box / window for the different pref settings.

Here is a screen shot. I can't find anything that you seem to talking about and the only paper that I use is Letter or Legal. My Version of Firefox is 47.0.1 and the web site tells me it is up to date and I don't see a Version 48.

Firefox 48 is in beta testing right now.

I meant a screenshot of the Page Setup window Margins & Header/Footer tab.

Let us try this.

Sorry, that screenshot doesn't show what I expected to see there. 0.0 isn't the default settings that would normally appear there for the 4 margins. And it sure doesn't reflect that "narrow slice of paper" depicted in your first two screenshots of the Print Preview window.

I suspect that you are affected by this regressive Bug. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1280159 FYI only, please don't comment unless you can supply a patch to fix the Bug.

And this comment - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1280159#c14 - indicates a fix has been made and will be in Firefox 48 beta 6 and the Aurora channel. The Firefox 48 Release will have it when that comes out on Aug 2nd.

Quite honestly, I don't see that Bug in Firefox 47 when using Profiles that I have been using for the last year (since I built this new PC), it only "rears its ugly head" in a new Profile or a Profile that has been Reset.

It is now 7-25-16 and I know that the next version does not come out until 8-2-16, but this is beyond frustrating as I use Firefox fro all of my online line work, including some online form production that is then not printable without going ti IE, which I don't like. Is there any other real solution that would solve my problem?

The Firefox 48 RC1 (Release Candidate) version might be available tomorrow, but it looks like the Beta 10 version is up there today. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/

The RC version will update as the Release version does on the Release channel, but the Beta 10 will be on the Beta channel and will become Firefox 49 Beta 1 at the end of next week.

Sorry, I don't know how to help beyond this.
