unified + can't get the sent folder out of the drafts folder
Never had this problem before now.
Using Windows 10 and the latest version of Thunderbird.
Thunderbird set to Unified and all properties are set properly (Drafts, Templates, Sent, etc.). For some reason, in the Drafts folder section, it not only lists all email account draft folders, but also a sent folder for one of my emails accounts, which I cannot remove. The property settings do not show that folder checked off yet it is still there.

RESOLVED - What I ended up doing was to remove the account in question from Thunderbird and reinstall it and that fixed the problem.

Start at the beginning. Do all your folders appear where they should in all folders mode?
If yes;
- Go to the troubleshooting information on the help menu and click the open button in the profile folder entry.
- Close Thunderbird (shut it down completely)
- In the window file manager window that opened open the mail folder.
- Now locate the "smart mailboxes" folder and delete it.
- Restart Thunderbird.
Hello Matt - thank you for the instructions, but it didn't help.
After all was completed, the sent folder still showed up in the drafts folder while in Unified.
Another strange thing is that all email accounts in the Drafts folder just have the account name, but this one account, we will call it xyz.com, shows as Drafts - xyz.com and Sent - xyz.com.
Not sure why Sent - and Drafts - are there, but all settings for that account seem fine.
I even double checked the Drafts folder by right clicking on Drafts > Properties and made sure that only the Draft boxes are checked and that is all okay. There is no Sent boxes checked yet the Sent shows up for the xyz.com account.
In addition to my last post I also noticed that when in Unified, if I click on the Drafts folder I see all the draft emails from included accounts. The sent emails from that xyz.com account are not visible, but if I click on the Sent folder in the Drafts folder I do see the emails there.
