Bing Shopping links do not work with Firefox - but they do work in other browsers
Bing Shopping links do not work with Firefox - but they do work in other browsers...
I do the search for [any given item]. It renders a mostly complete results page. Clicking on any of the product link[s] to the sellers' website renders a ~javascript void~ sort of error message in an otherwise blank new tab. Replicated this with several different items over the last week. Google searches and Bing searches result in non-responsive, irrelevant, and chronologically obsolete hits.
Bear in mind, the raw page, Bing Shopping <https://www.bing.com/shop> functions perfectly well in Opera... I have not tried it in either IE or Edge and I avoid Chrome like a recent worldwide pandemic.
I have not tampered with any of Firefox's settings.
Thanks in advance.

Seems like a couple different issues:
(1) How links open in Bing Shopping
I ran a search and the results page had two main sections: a top row of ads arranged as a carousel, and a grid showing other ads.
If I click an item in the carousel, a new tab opens and redirects to the advertiser's landing page. Are those working normally for you?
If I click an item in the grid, instead of a opening a new tab, the page opens a details section below that row in the grid. Is this where the problem is -- instead of getting the expected details section, you get a new tab?
(2) Bad results

Could you test in Firefox's Safe/Troubleshoot Mode? In that mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.
If Firefox is running:
You can restart Firefox in Safe/Troubleshoot Mode using either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
- (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode... (before Fx88: Restart with Add-ons Disabled)
and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).
If Firefox is not running:
Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button (before Fx88: "Start in Safe Mode" button).
Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.
Any improvement?
Starting in Troubleshoot mode did correct the issues I was experiencing. I did not try to complete any sales transactions...
Thank you for that.
I guess now I know how to work around an issue with Bing Shopping that only occurs with Firefox...
I am running AdBlocker Ultimate; New Tab; Privacy Badger; and Bypass Paywalls extensions... None of those interfere with any other shopping - Google; eBay; Amazon; individual stores; etc.
Perhaps an uninstall and a fresh install of Firefox?
You could check the toolbar buttons for Adblocker Ultimate and Privacy Badger while you are on Bing and see whether adjusting their settings resolves the issue.
Thank you for your insights.
I just tried whitelisting <bing.com/shop> in Adblocker Ultimate. That seems to have resolved many of the issues; however, the "Sort By" button still does not work in Firefox while it works perfectly well with other browsers on the same set of search criteria and results.
I then disabled Privacy Badger <and refreshed the page> and tried again. Still the "Sort By" button remained obstinate.
I then opened Firefox in Troubleshoot mode and still the "Sort By" button is inoperable.
You might think Bing would port their code to accommodate all common browsers, yes?
The items in the Sort by drop-down are simple links with changes to the sorting parameters, for example:
That is sent from the server and doesn't need to be built by a script in the page. I guess something is still removing them?
