Before you start the steps below go to https://calendar.google.com/calendar/syncselect and select the calendars you want to synchronize.
== Add Calendars ==
To get read/write access to a calendar you can simply select "New Calendar..." > "On the Network" and then enter your Google account address as username. This should start the Google sign-in flow. (In case of errors please retry at least once). After giving Thunderbird access to your calendars you should be able to select any of the calendars you enabled in the previous step and add them to Thunderbird.
