My profile switcher add on suddenly disappeared. I'm not able to access my other profile. Please help.
I use Thunderbird (currently 60.4.0 (32-bit)) with two separate profiles for many years. I had the profile switcher add-on, but it has disappeared today. I'm not able to access my other profile. I'm not well-versed in installing the add-ons, so trying to reinstall the original is not being seamless. The add-n typically show up in the three-dash Thunderbird menu on the main profile page.
I would appreciate help.

Do you have the latest version, 1.7.7, compatible with TB 60?

You can always start Profile Manager by selecting Windows key+R and typing thunderbird.exe -p
Thank you for helping me. I'm still having trouble. I got a message that profile switcher 1.7.7 is incompatible with Thunderbird 60.4.0. And that profile switcher was disabled. I must have just gotten a Thunderbird update.
I'm not sure how to get over to my other profile - if I even can without the profile Switcher. Is there an obvious work around that im not aware of? Signing in and out manually perhaps? In the time that I need to figure out how to get a version that is compatible with my Thunderbird 60.4.0 I'll be able to access my stuff from that business.
Thank you for staying with me.
By the way, that Windows command didn't take me anywhere. I got the Run window but nothing happened with the command.
I was never able to open the profile switcher with the various instructions. However, I was able to re-download the same version of the profileswithcher and when I did, it was still disabled, but I then saw an 'enable' button. That got me in. I am concerned that this could happen again and I still don't see a method for manually signing into my second profile. If anyone has that answer, I'd much appreciate it. Thank you!
The error message 'not compatible...' is due to the add-on's xpi installer not explicitly stating compatibility with TB 60. The easiest way to work around this is to open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor and double-click the preference extensions.strictCompatibility to false, OK to close Options. After a TB restart, the add-on will either be enabled or it will be possible to install it. Working here in TB 60.4.
Make sure TB is closed before you start Profile Manager from the Run command. Also, there is a space between thunderbird.exe and -p.
