Hello,

Even though I have changed my proxy settings and deleted my old university library one (and replaced it with my new one), I keep being redirected automatically to the old one when using my new library website.

This happens no matter which option I choose in Advanced - Network - Connection - Settings. Even checking the "no proxy" option still redirect me to the old proxy page.

I cleared all history and cache many times and restarted the computer several times (I've been dealing with this for a quite a while actually).

I attached the image of the setting with my new proxy. I don't see anywhere else the old proxy could be hidden. Please help. Many thanks.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page.

You can also check if you have a user.js file in your profile folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

You can check for problems with preferences. Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.
