Renaming and deleting folders in 'Other Bookmarks' and 'Bookmarks'
How can I rename or delete folders in 'Other Bookmarks' and in 'Bookmarks'? I've tried over and over and searched support to no avail. I would also like to reorganize the order of the folders but I cannot move them from their position. i would appreciate any help.
Chosen solution
OK. I know I have done this so I opened the Library. You can select a folder in either panel and there is a box at the bottom containing the name. You can use that box to change the name. (see screenshot)
I can delete a folder by right-clicking it and selecting Delete Folder but sheilamerle has no doubt already tried that.

The article linked below relates to bookmarks and may give you a pointer.

The article referenced by @Terry doesn't address bookmark folders. I can't rename a folder once it is created. the only option is to create a new one with the desired name, move everything to it, and delete the old one. There is no "rename" in any of the menus and you can't just hover it to highlight the name.

You need to look for "Edit Folder" in the right-click context menu of a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar or in a menu drop-down list or in the sidebar. For a bookmark this is "Edit Bookmark".
@ con-el: There is no "Edit Folder" option on my machine. See attached screen shots. I am using Firefox 99.0 which says it is up to date (see screen shot).
Note: I can edit the name if I use the drop-down menu in the Bookmarks Toolbar. I just can't edit it from the "Manage Bookmarks" screen which is where it is most useful and convenient to rename it.
Modified
In the Library you do not use the content menu to make change to an item, but use the detail panel with the 'name' you see at the bottom of the right panel. The left panel is the panel that shows to full tree list. The right panel consists of two parts, the top part shows the content of the folder selected in the left (tree) panel and the bottom part is the details pane that allows to edit the properties of the item selected in the top right panel. So to edit the name of a folder, you select its parent folder in the left pane and select the folder in top right panel and click in the name field.
@cor-el: OK, Thanks. That worked. I never thought to try there. On a Mac, in most situations, you just hover over the thing you want to rename.
