You can try to install https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools or https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/background-image - I think these should enable Firefox to have a background image on the New Tab Page as it is in Opera.

You can try to install https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools or https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/background-image - I think these should enable Firefox to have a background image on the New Tab Page as it is in Opera.
