Cannot open e-mail since update to version 52 on all my computers

E-mail worked fine, updated to version 52. Since then it shows mail received, but cannot open it. Tried disabling antivirus software, no change. Can open mail when using provider's website. Using Windows 10 latest version. No problem sending messages.

Updated to version 52.1.1 and problem solved!

Hi, When using Thunderbird to check my e-mail, the inbox shows that I have messages, just the headers are downloaded as per my settings. As I try to open any of the new e-mails nothing happens. This never happened before, the mail used to open normally. Not anymore after the update.

Essentially it means that I cannot see the body of the text...

The message on screen says: "Only the headers for this message were downloaded from the mail server" . When I click on: "Download the rest of the message", nothing happens !

What is your account type - POP or IMAP?

Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled. - Win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode

Does the problem go away?

christ1, I did as you said but nothing changed. Still cannot open my mail.
