Firefox refresher deleted my saved passwords, and then I deleted the "old firefox" folder

Okay so here's what happened. Firefox recommended I do the refresher since firefox was slow. I did it refreshed firefox, not realizing it was going to delete my passwords and save it in a folder. I thought it was going to leave it alone. I saw the old firefox folder and deleted it, then emptied my trash, then when I tried to log in to a site, I went to saved passwords and everything was gone! Please help me. How can I get my old saved passwords back? To top it off, I do not remember my firefox password to my account. I also tried the recovery key option under account recovery (which says not set) but I do not remember my password. What do I do?

Hi louise820wcu, I'm not lucky enough to be a Mac user but, maybe I can suggest something. Do you have Time Machine set up? I found this article which might help: how to recover deleted files on Mac
