After I updated firefox to the newest version, all the bookmarks are lost.

I try to restore bookmarks, but unable to process the backup file.

in this folder:C:\Documents and Settings\f91\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\kd1v1uvd.default, I have followed one of the solution I have searched :delete or rename the places.sqlite file and then rename "places.sqlite.corrupt" to "places.sqlite". (If you see any other places.sqlite* files, delete those as well, so that only one places.sqlite file remains.) , but doesn't work. I don't know why places.sqlite.corrupt,places.sqlite-wal,places.sqlite-shm,these files appears again.

How can I restore my bookmarks. Thanks

Hi,

Please also try this: Bookmarks (Alt + B) > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to repair the places database with this extension:
