Problems include: - Clicking on an email folder doesn't open it - Open in new tab works - Attachment names aren't displayed. Clinkg on the paper clip doesn't open them. 'Open all' works - Sometimes, if i click on an email in the message pane (?), the message disappeafrs, and then as I move the cursor down the list, they all disappear I've restored my pc (Win 8), carried out disk checks, run Malwarebytes and virus checkes and found nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled TB several times to no avail. Stuck!

And now I've found that I can't write emails either. Clicking on Write, Reply, or Forward give no response.

It's working ok in safe mode. Ther error console contains this (amongst others). Does it make sense to anyone?

1. Thunderbird does work in safe mode. 2. Antivirus - McAfee Seciurty Scan plus (expired) 3. Email - UK2Net 4. ISP - Eclipse Internet 5. No error messages 6. Boot up of PC froze so I depressed the on/off switch so I could restart. TB came back in this state.

• First of all I would get rid of McAffe. TOTALLY. Personally I don't like it, but mostly because its been the center of TB-problems.

• Then download and use MozBackup to save your settings.

• Copy %appdata%\thunderbird\profiles somewhere for extra safety.

• Delete TB and data (thats %appdata%\thunderbird)

• Install TB (download from support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird Dont create any accounts.

• Use Mozbackup to import your settings.
