Firefox 11+ memory leak
3 tabs open, left firefox idle on pc and walked away for an hour. Came back, system barely responsive, managed to grab a screenshot. This happens every single day. If I leave firefox idle, or in background for any amount of time, it eats up all the ram and the system grinds to a halt and crashes. Can't get logs, or use profiler. This happens every single day, multiple times per day and only when firefox is in background or pc is idle. I don't use more than 3-4 tabs, this happens on random websites, sometimes even when no websites are open. I can literally open firefox with no tabs and let it sit idle and same thing happens.

What add-ons do you have?
Next time it happens, capture a screenshot of about:processes (Shift+Esc).

I tried with a clean install and no addons. Occurs either way.

Can't. Firefox at this stage is so frozen it doesn't respond at all. Its a miracle I could get task manager up, took a few minutes. I have been told this for several weeks now, reddit, etc. I literally cant use firefox when this is happening. It happens every single day, thus I have tried getting about:processes up, and it can't be done.
You could open about:processes before leaving the PC.
Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

I could, but I frankly don't think about simply leaving my work on a regular basis. Firefox does this either when I it is minimized when I am working or when I walk away from my PC, which may or may not happen. I have work to do, not figure this crap out, when it happens, its not like I am deliberately waiting for it to happen, or have hours to sit there and wait.
yes, it happens in trouble shoot mode. And I tried this with a clean reinstall without accounts, addons, plugins, all of it, and it still happens.
Do you have any animated themes installed? Try sticking with the built-in Light/Dark theme.
Does it still happen when the window remains visible (not minimized or covered)?
