Latest Firefox keeps resizing websites randomly.
For the last three days, almost every site I go to on the web just starts randomly resizing itself. It's ballooned up to 200% zoom and then it will 'magically' shrink to 30%. Three days this nonsense has been going on. I am about ready to throw the computer out a window I am so frustrated. How do I fix this and make the fixes stick? Because I have literally tried EVERYTHING I could find for similar issues in your help forums. Nothing is working and it is infuriating.
P.S. as an added note, just trying to type this up took about 15 minutes because hey! The page kept zooming in and out with no direction from me.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart
Just got done doing this and unfortunately, FF is still resizing stuff.
Did you test access anything while in safe mode? And it still had problems?
It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer
Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder Linux:
- Ubuntu Unity {web link}
- Xfce: Applications Menu category sections
- options depends on the package manager and the desktop environment
Go thru the list. If you find something that you don't know what it is, use a web search.
One way to zoom quickly is to hold down the Ctrl key and scroll the wheel on the mouse. Sometimes it seems that Firefox misreads the keyboard and thinks the Ctrl key is being held down. Stabbing the key vigorously several times often will clear this problem. In other cases, Firefox may occasionally have problems with mouse and keyboard input when wireless input device are very low on battery. In other cases, there may be a problem where some component of Windows responsible for reporting these things to Firefox has crashed or become corrupted, and in those cases, you need to shut down Windows and start it up again.
I know that all sounds random, but...
