You can use the Inspector via the right-click context menu to check which CSS (text-decoration) rule is causing this.

Sometimes it is the small details. Look at the sequence of tags in this snippet of your page:

<h1><font color="991c1d" size="5" face="arial black"><u>RESIDENTIAL LIFTS<font><u></h1>

Note that of the last 3 tags, all intended to be closing tags, two of them actually are new opening tags. So the <u> tag is kicking in on those links. Try fixing that.

Two suggestions for discovering this:

• Inspector tool: work your way upwards in the HTML hierarchy to find unexpected parent elements.

• Source viewer: Firefox will show some unexpected elements in bright red text.

I am not versed in code so I do not know how to fix it. Is the code the same on all of the pages, and if the code is wrong, why do the pages not show as underlined on IE and chrome? thank you.

Until 5 minutes ago, I had never heard of your editor, Virtual Mechanics SiteSpinner. Some editors have an easy way to view the HTML corresponding to a portion of your document and edit it manually to resolve strange issues. If SiteSpinner doesn't have that, I'm not sure what to suggest that won't end up creating more issues for you.

Another example from the Stairlifts.html page where <font><u>....<font><u> appears and even if corrected wouldn't be closed in the correct order.

Also note that font-family: "Arial Black" may require font-weight:900 to work properly in some cases

I have decided that the best solution for me was to delete the tags. There really was no reason for the title of the pages to be underlined. That seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for your response.

Hi Welthia, I think you're absolutely right.

The forum converted your < u > (without the spaces) to an underline. You've discovered a little secret formatting trick I sometimes use here. :-)
