images do not load in foxfire, but load ok in IE. such as the zoom bar in google maps
I'm using Firefox 9. when I goto sites such as amazon, the images do not load. I can right click on the image box and select view image and the image will be displayed in a new page. An other example is google maps. The zoom bar on the left does not display. If I move the cursor over where the zoom bar is suppose to be the cursor will change to the hand and I can left click to work the zoom. If I bring up Internet Explorer all images, etc work ok.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
- Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
- Click the website favicon (How do I tell if my connection to a website is secure?) on the left end of the location bar.
- Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
- Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
- Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
- If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
I went to www.google.com and then clicked on Maps. The image that is missing is the zoom bar on the left side of the map. I found the image listed under media and it was not marked to be blocked. The image is - http://maps.gstatic.com/mapfiles/mapcontrols3d7.png
I went to www.amazon.com. Many of the images are missing and the page layout is different compared to another computer that is displaying correctly. The advertising image in the top right corner is missing and the image is not marked blocked.
I have compared the setup options between the two computers and they are the same.
Such issues can be caused by having HTTP pipelining enabled and the server doesn't support that feature properly.
Try to reset all network.http prefs on the about:config page.
