Dear Support, Most sections of the text in the e-mails I have received are in bold font and when I reply to e-mails or compose new e-mails, I am unable to disable the 'bolding' of text. How do I disable the bolding of text (in newly composed e-mails) and how do I restore e-mails already received to their original font style (with bolding of text appearing only where intended by the sender)?

To set default:

Tools > Options > Display > formatting tab

  • Set default font - do not choose one that is bold
  • set size

for plain text mesages:

  • set 'Style' as 'Regular', Size as 'Regular'
  • click on 'Composition' tab

Under HTML

  • font : set 'variable width'
  • Size: set 'medium'

click on OK to save all changes.

In a new Write message, it should use the default you have set.

If using HTML, you can select/unselect bold by clicking on the 'bold' icon located in the Formatting Bar.

If you copy and paste a section that was set as bold by sender and you keep typing afterwards, you will find it uses the set font from the paste, so uncheck the bold font in the Formatting Bar or type and then highlight the section you want to change and choose to unbold it.
