Firefox will no longer launch, have been using for several years...
Firefox lost ability to launch late last week. Have tried double click on icon and right click OPEN, no luck. Your assist questions/ recommendations all seem to require action from an open platform*. Op system (win 10) and rest of programs have been fine.

Does Firefox or Windows display any error message when you try to start Firefox using its shortcut?
If you instead try to launch a link in your default browser, will Firefox start that way? For example, you can paste
into the Windows 10 search box and press Enter to submit it, and it should open in your default browser. Of course, if Firefox is not your default browser, that wouldn't provide any useful information...
Do you recall anything unusual happening the last time Firefox worked normally? For example, did it crash in a severe way, or was it the process of updating (or refreshing settings) and got interrupted?
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
