Good Morning,I opened Thunderbird yesterday as we use it for 4 different businesses and it will not allow the sending of any messages (send button is greyed out). I have uninstalled Thunderbird and moved our profile so that the install is fresh. This now works. As soon as I move our profile back into the folder, the send button becomes greyed out again. Starting from scratch with a fresh install is not an option for us as we have over 800,000 emails all seperated into folders. I really hope that somebody can help.

What's the result in safe mode (hold Shift when launching TB)?

How weird is this. I have a new MacBook M1 (used Time Machine from older MacBook to replicate everything including all Thunderbird settings ) and Thunderbird o M1 will not send out emails. Incoming is fine. Send Button is greyed out. Address Book was empty so I exported from older MacBook and they seem to be now in M1 MacBook. If I start to type an email address they pop in from Address Book. But Grey Button stays greyed out. Tried in Safe Mode - same outcome. However it all works fine on older MacBook, no greyed out Send button. Checked the SMTP settings on both MacBooks and they are identical.

Both MacBooks are using Thunderbird 78.12 Older MacBook uses Mac OS High Sierra M1 uses Mac OS Ben Sur

Apple won't help either. I also turned off MacBook Firewall and that did nothing to help. I have no anti-virus software on the MacBook.

Been through all the items on the Support Pages.

Maybe my new MacBook is blocking Port 587?

I don't know how to check that.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!

Nothing has changed when using the program in safe mode. The send button is still greyed out
