Please forward this Q asap to the San Francisco mozi)la space, c/o developer relations dept, cc:int the reception desk and recruiting offices of that campus.

I will visit tomorrow, barring emergencies.

Please tell me when this has iINITIALLY been read by a human, by putting 77 in the heading and body of an email BACK TO ME ... I WON'T expect anything else to have been done by then.

thanks!

Hi

Thank you for your feedback, this is something that our developers are looking into.

In the meantime, I recommend that you use Firefox for Android Beta or Nightly (both are available from the Google Play store) as they have about:config enabled.

I hope that this helps.

I am using nightly dev edition. Just reupdated via play store, in case getting the app via apkure was the problem.

96.0a1 (Build #2015844769), a32f531de+

If you're aware it's being worked on, is that because you read so, somewhere? If so, l'd love a reference. Otherwise I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling via play store only.

Thanks!!

That is not an official Mozilla version - I recommend that you install Firefox for Android from the Google Play store.

I need to go with nightly for about:config to be accessible, i believe?

Please define " an official Mozilla ver." for my purposes.... do you mean the fact that my version is alpha, or my build# is (originally downloaded via apkure) "not official"? I updated via the google play store.... shall i uninstall and redownload from there?

Versions that you find outside if the Google Play store may have been repackaged with other code included.

I recommend that you use a version from the Google Play store.

Mozilla does have Beta and Nightly channel builds on Google Play Store along with the Release channel and stated twice that the Nightly was from Google Play Store.

help.

pls.

pretty please?

Bookmarlets to write my own workaround would solve my problem too. any Android browser at all with power-user compatability, even via plugin add-ons.

The Nightly version of Firefox for Android does have about:config enabled.

no about config

about:config

Make sure you are typing it out correctly with a : (colon) and no space

[removed]. yes. I know. thanks. I was jus pissed because the f****** forms usually interface had just eaten an entire 10 minutes of well-typed response and losing that message made me want to type fast if at all.

you don't know me, but I could figure out that error myself. I program. syntax errors are a THING. I SEARCHED throughout many Mozilla properties, sites, repositories, eye... and hours (maybe 3⅓ do far) into this I still find no answers.

thanks, tho'.

Ok, no problem, glad we could help.

Was just making sure as all too often people new to about:config would often type it out with a space, period or semicolon and not a colon and then wonder why it was doing a Google search or such.
