Ever since the recent restriction placed by firefox on the use of the Java plug in I am unable to run java applets in firefox. I have the latest java installed and I have the latest firefox installed. I can run java applets in Internet Explorer which means that I do have a working version of Java on my PC. However when I use firefox it does not see the plugin. I have uninstalled and re installed both, firefox and java many times. Still no joy. I have another PC that runs the same operation system XP as the first one. On that java starts working after an initial propmpt to activate it. But the activation prompt does not appear on the first computer. Can you pleeeease help since I prefer using Firefox to IE

hello, in some instances firefox may not be able to detect that the java plugin is installed, because oracle made an error in registering the java plugin for mozilla-based browsers in version 7u10 & 7u11... this will apparently just be fixed with its next release.
