Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
thanks for the suggestion, but changing the hardware acceleration setting made no difference
I had the same problem. And when I uppdated my Nvidia driver to the latest (in my case from 2014-12-13) it just cleared. Don't ask me to explain why.
Thanks for the suggestion - I'm running a Mac and, so far as I know, don't have an Nvidia driver, or, if I do, I have no idea where it is.
It's my graphic-card. bet a Mac also has one. It's about updating your drivers.

Every now and then, you should check ALL programs, drivers, and every- thing else for updates. Your computers system details may have that information. Go to the web site for the graphics card, and check for updates.
