WHY does TWITER open w/25% of page views. 100% other Browsers.

TWITTER opens on my WIN 10 using Firefox as browser, but only view is small 25% 0r 10% view of entire page. ALL other BROWSERS open TWITTER in 100% view.

FIREFOX has no ability to make changes of page view.

I suspect a VIRUS or a HACKER planted inside my FIREFOX a program that reduces TWITTER logon to 25% or less view. MCAfee says none exist on my Dell Inspiron 5000 series. That leaves a FIREFOX problem. I no longer can use FIREFOX for TWITTER.

Check your zoom controls.

You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies
    Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.

  • Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
  • Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe websites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.
