How do I scroll to bottom and scroll to top INSTANTLY. I hate the fast scroll effect that is very jerky at times depending on the website when scrolling to the top and bottom of a page. I either use the Home and End keys on my keyboard or a mouse gestures addon. I would like this to occur instantly. Thanks. FF 76 with Win7x64. Thanks so much.

I also noticed that when I use the mouse gesture (Foxy Gestures) to scroll to top and scroll to bottom, this "animation" is slower than if I just use the Home and End keys on the keyboard. Using the Home and End keys are is still animated but faster but I still hate it. I would like to totally eliminate this animation or effect.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Thanks for replying. Same thing. I've seen this "feature" in Firefox as long as I can remember. I'm just wondering how to disable it. It's driving me crazy. Has nothing to do with smooth scrolling which I desire.

Try using CTRL - Arrow up or CTRL - arrow down. It is immediate not a fast scroll.

Thanks. It scrolls at the same speed as using the Home and End keys.
