Delete the new sidebar

Hi
If you select the cog wheel icon at the bottom of the sidebar launcher, you should see an option to "Show and hide sidebar". Selecting this will hide the sidebar.
It did not delete the sidebar.
Hi, did you select the "Show and hide" option for the Sidebar button? With that setting, when you close the current sidebar, the vertical button bar should be removed, too.
However, that setting does not remove the vertical button bar when the sidebar is open. Is that the problem?
I only have the cogs icon and I have selected Expand/Collapse and Show/Hide. I cannot get it to go away. It is consuming screen space.

After selecting Show/Hide, you can use the Sidebars button on the toolbar to close the sidebar. I think when this vertical button bar design was turned on, the Sidebars button was added to the left part of the toolbar, near the reload button. If needed, you can add it yourself from the Customize panel. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
I cannot find my original query about removing hiding the vertical tabs sidebar, and thanked you for your help and guidance. I since played around and finally hid it. So thanks again your replies helped resolve the problem (for the time being) The time on my messages is showing as 8 hours behind, I am in the UK, Cheers
Hi Peter, it's https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1476110 and you should be able to find all your questions and replies by hovering over the "P" icon in the forum's top navigation bar.
I have tried this. I have the "show and hide toolbar" checked. It is still there. Please tell me how to delete it. I need to see my full screen for my work!!

The last step is to click the Sidebars toolbar button. This button should be near the back/forward/reload buttons, but I suppose it could be in a different location. If yours is missing, you can add it using the Customize feature (Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars). I'm attaching a picture for reference:
Success?
