Why does only one page print when I print from the internet?

more options

When I print from the internet, only page one of the document prints. This happens both from my MAC and my husband's Dell laptops. I have been unable to find a way to print an entire document from the internet. When I switch to Safari the entire document prints so I know it is not our computers or printer. This has been consistent since I installed the last Firefox update. I am using Firefox 3.6.8. It is annoying to have to switch to Safari when I need to print. Please fix the problem!!!!!!

When you press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P for MacOSX), usually the browser will show that it will print "All". Does yours show that it will print "Pages from 1 to 1"?

I don't know why that would happen, but you can try resetting your printer.

First, press Ctrl+t (Cmd+t) to open a blank tab, type about:config in the location bar, and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

Second, in the Filter box, type printer and wait a moment until the list is filtered.

Third, find print.print_printer, right-click it (not sure how you do this on a Mac, sorry), and choose Reset. Then test again.

Any luck?

It happens with 2 different printers and Mac and Dell laptops. I tested it from my Mac using Safari from the same internet site and all pages print on Safari but only one page prints when I am on Firefox. Thus, I don't think it is a printer problem. The problem seems to be with Firefox and began after the last update.

Does that mean you tried the reset in Firefox's settings and it didn't work?

The next step would be some more general diagnostics, in case your settings got crossed up by the upgrade.

First, make a backup of your computer for safekeeping. To back up Firefox, see Backing up your information.

Next, try starting Firefox in Firefox Safe Mode. Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.

Does that fix it? If not, try creating a new (blank) profile: Managing profiles.

To move key settings like bookmarks from your damaged profile to the new profile, see: Recovering important data from an old profile.

Hope this helps.
