In some pages firefox just closes unexpectedly if flash player 11.4 is on. I installed 10.3 and it works fine. Sometimes it does not crash and close, but simply hangs. I have firefox 16

That looks like a problem with your Panda security software (pavlsphookwow.dll)

Make sure that you have the latest updates.
You can also try to contact Panda for support.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

After having disabled hardware acceleration it stopped crashing, and started just hanging. Either way, my computer, by some weird mysterious reason was connected to the network, but not able to connect to the internet. So, after having tried several other options, I did a system restore and right now firefox just hangs a bit when opening flash stuff.

Should I forward anything to PandaLabs anyway? Or should I submit something new to you? And thanks for the help!

Asus Quick Gestures (QuickGesture.dll) seems to be involved in the crashes as well.

And how can I (or anyone else) solve this problem? Also, WHY is it crashing so much? I have another laptop with the exact same configurations on Firefox that does not crash... EVER, I think. Why does it keep on crashing on my new laptop? Should I try to reinstall Firefox or something? Or is this problem only related to the Flash plugin?
