Firefox keeps crashing
I am using firefox 32.0.3 on a Winows 8.0 Lenovo Ultrabook. For the past week or so it keeps crashing every few minutes, even if there is only one or two tabs open. There is no obvious trigger for this.
Some of the crash reports: bp-271dc329-8468-48df-9a61-fd3552141014 bp-ba0ce9df-c19d-47aa-821d-73fb92141014 bp-f67419a6-602f-4ca9-b3b6-e4f5e2141013 bp-1739fdfb-5505-40a2-8f15-2dc0f2141013
Thanks

Three of the four reports have the signature "InitOnceExecuteOnce" which is rare (16 reports in the past two weeks), and so could indicate something unique about your system or the site you're visiting when this happens.
The other one has the signature "nsTimerImplConstructor" and is uncommon (92 reports in the past two weeks).
I'm not getting a strong sense of the source of the problem.
To rule out Skype, could you disable its extension? You can review and disable nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Firefox will let you know if you need to exit/restart Firefox for the change to take effect.
Because mysterious crashes also can result from attempted in-memory changes by malware, you might want to supplement your regular security software with some of the free scanners/cleaners in our support article: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware. Those tools are free and take considerable time to run to completion. If you get a message that they have finished quickly but require payment to do the cleaning, you might have a more serious infection. In that case, try the specialized bulletin boards listed in the article.
You can also check for issues caused by plugins.
Thank you,
I will try these things and report back
OK, Have tried the suggested scans etc.
Only items found were some adware cookies that are now deleted. Have also updated graphic drivers and Firefox has auto-updated Also tried using firefox in safe mode

How up-to-date is your version of Trusteer Rapport, a program often promoted by banks to improve connection security? When I look at your crash reports, it is showing up in several Firefox threads -- not the crashing thread, but other threads that are waiting for the crashing thread to complete.
In case Rapport isn't updating automatically, you can use the support site here: http://www.trusteer.com/support
Or if you no longer need that program, you may want to uninstall it and see whether that makes any difference.
