Emails disappear and then reappear

more options

I'm using TB v38.5.0 with GoDaddy IMAP email accounts, on two different computers with different operating systems. For some time now I've noticed that emails in my Inbox (or any folder, really) will randomly disappear and then reappear if I leave the folder/mailbox and come back into it. However, they don't always come right back, but will usually do so if I completely shut TB down and come back in. I tried calling GoDaddy about the issue, but they weren't very helpful. The GD tech had me change some security settings (turning on/off SSL), as well as adjust the frequency of mail checking, yet I'm still having the same issue. It's maddening, to say the least, to be looking at my Inbox and watch messages disappear in front of me, not knowing when they'll reappear.

I suspect it has something to do with the way TB is IMAP syncing with the GD servers, but for the life of me can't figure out what settings need to be tweaked.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

As a simple check you could go to Account Settings > Server Settings and turn off 'check for new messages every ... minutes'. You'd then have to check for new mail manually of course, but if you found that everything remained stable until you made those checks that would help to confirm your hypothesis.

I'll give this a try, amanchesterman, but as I searched a little more on the Internet, it may be a GoDaddy problem, not a TB issue.
