Lost previous mobile bookmarks. How do I recover them?
I had saved a bunch of bookmarks on my Firefox Android. It's synced to the Firefox on my PC. Today when I checked the mobile bookmarks folder on my PC and phone - there are only bookmarks from today. I have lost almost 6 months of bookmarks. Since they are synced they are not saved in the profile on my PC. So I can't backup & restore.
My phone is not rooted so I can't access the bookmarks/profile file on my phone. I don't know how I lost them. looks like Firefox updated itself on Android.

Hi
Thank you for your question about the Firefox Sync service.
It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device (typically a mobile device such as a tablet or a telephone) running a copy of Firefox. The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.
If you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox, you may be able to recover your bookmarks and other data. Please have a read of this article.
If you have a copy of your data on a mobile version of Firefox, please follow these instructions to connect it to Firefox Sync to copy your data.
Hi,
I haven't been using it as a backup service. Rather using Sync as it is intended to getting access to bookmarks and tabs saved on my mobile and be able to view it on my desktop later.
Even if I wasn't using sync, I should still have my bookmarks on Firefox Android. My desktop bookmarks are fine and easy to recover using Backup/Restore. I also regularly save that file.
How do I get a copy of the mobile version of Firefox? about:profiles doesn't work. The sync is working...so don't need to set that up again.
Just want to get my bookmarks that I had saved on my Android phone back. Perhaps there is a bug in the app? Or something went wrong in an app update?
