Mail.com has invaded my pc, it blocks/overides Firefox, Maa.l.com will not help, I can`t get rid of Mail .com. Can you help me?
I installed Firefox long ago but, somehow, I do`nt know how or when, Mail.com has installed itself and blocks/overides my Firefox browser. I cannot find Mail.com on the list of installations conseqquently, I can`t uninstall it.
I have repeatedly contacted Mail.com, they say they do not recognise my address. so cannot re-install the account!! Repeatedly I tell them I don`t wish to re-install their system, I want to get rid of it. No help at all, they are quite stupid in their replies. Can anyone advise me how to rid myself of the useless piece of rubbish?

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

Sp;ent hours trying all suggestions. Also uninstalled Chrome and Firefox.
Re-installed latest firefox as browser. Still all re-directed to Mail.com. Mail.com is not listed as installed on my pc. Can find no referenc e to it anywhere. Tool bar icon is an envelope alongside red LOG IN. `Revo Uninstall' cannot remove it as it is not listed anywhere.
Frustrated,
Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the Be Careful button. At the top of the screen is a search bar. Type browser.startup.homepage
What is the value? Right-click and select Reset to restore its default value; about:home
You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
