I have neck problems, and it's painful to move my head from side to side. The page on the screen is too big, filling the entire window. But Firefox offers NO options to resize the page to make the page smaller. You can't drag it; and when I hit alt+spacebar the option for "sizing" is greyed out. This is Not acceptable!

I guess your not used to stuff happens. Support Volunteers can't make changes to Firefox , but we can help you with troubleshooting your question.

In this case it's broken lets see : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Is the issue still there ?

Create a new Profile : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles Is the issue still there ?

Last resort : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi mbomcar, the option to resize the window is only available for a resizable window. If your window is currently maximized, then it cannot be resized.

Try clicking the "middle" button on the upper right of the top bar (looks like two rectangles overlapping, or when you press Alt+Spacebar choose Restore.

Once you have a resizable window, it should make more sense.

If you can't see the top bar, Firefox might be in its full screen view. There are two possible ways to escape:

(1) Full screen triggered from within a website: tap the Esc key

(2) Full screen triggered from a Firefox menu or using the F11 key: tap the F11 key, or slide the mouse all the way to the top until the toolbar area rolls down, right click a blank area of the tab bar, and click Exit Full Screen

Does that get you closer to what you're looking for?

If not, consider moving your chair back!

Try to rename/remove the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
