Firefox keeps asking me for master password
Firefox keeps asking me for master password. It doesn't matter if I type my password in, it reappears over and over and over and over and over. It's become impossible to proceed because that popup prevents any further action on the browser. If I follow the instructions about unselecting "Use a master password", it asks me to ... enter the current password. I do, and the the OK button is grayed out and unavailable.
I'm not using either of the two virus programs you mention (ESET & some other). This is driving me batshit.
Please help resolve this. I'm using v. 79.0 (64-bit) on Windows 7.
Thank you.

Hi doug_montalbano,
If you use Sync then you can see the email address used for the Firefox account at the top of the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
This could possibly also happen if the startup page(s) include a page you have saved a login username and password.
Are you reopening pages from the previous session (Restore Previous Session)?
Options/Preferences -> General -> Startup
If it doesn't solved your problem, then feel free to ask in Reply Section. Thanks for raising your question in Mozilla Support Forum.
