I some times get this message "The instructions at "ox879ab0e3 referenced memory at "ox879ab0e3" . The memory could not be "read". Check ok to terminate the program. And sometimes the session will simply not update since the firefox has shutdown but the then present sites are open but won't update. If shut down my computer and restart, I have better than an 80% chance that fire fox will not open---probably less than 29% chance that it will open. I have to just repeat the shut down over and over until fire fox will open.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
