How can I get Namoroka

I got a new laptop and when I went to install firefox all I could get was Namoroka. I am liking it, and I wanted to install it in my desktop, but I cannot find a website for it or where to download it. It;s like my laptop's world is totally different from my desktop's. Where is Namoroka??

Namaroka is the code name used for Firefox 3.6.* (mozilla-1.9.2) branch nightlies and for Third-party builds of Firefox 3.6.*.

I still don't get it... so Namaroka is older than Firefox 8? Why wouldn't I get a choice of installation on the new computer? I searched like crazy and I always ended up on a Namaroka download.

What site are you getting a Namaroka download?

Firefox 8.0.1 is at www.mozilla.com and the current official Firefox 3.6 (3.6.24) is at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Before Firefox 4.0 the Firefox versions had code names which were used for then related branch nightlies and for third-party builds.

Lol! Just to get my mind straight, cause I'm toootally confused. The current official Firefox 3.6 is an old version? Or is it a current version? The latest firefox is 8.0.1...

I can't get to the page where I was taken, but whenever I typed in Mozilla.org, it would take me to a page with Namaroka and another funny name, also saying there were a lot of betta tests coming up or something like that. At first I thought it was a hack, cause it sounded so weird. So I tried again, with a google search, and I could only get Namaroka, never FF 8.0.1

Are you referring to a 64 bit build named Namoroka?

All official Firefox releases on Windows are currently 32 bit builds.

The Firefox 3.6.* was originally going to be made end of life shortly after the Firefox 4.0 release. It then became the previous version still supported with security updates like how previous releases were still supported for a while in past. It was unintended for it to become the extended support release in long run as it has. The updates for 3.6 may continue until more or less April when a more current version will be made as a extende support release (ESR) for Enterprise users. The http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html is the page where previous release was supported.

Nowhere on www.mozilla.org itself does it mention Namoraka (for a long time now) and if you typed in www.mozilla.com it should go more directly to a page with download link for Firefox 8.0.1 for Windows/Mac/Linux desktop and a link for the mobile Firefox 8.0 for Android.

I know, it's a very weird thing. I haven't been able to reproduce the page, but I now have Namoraka in my laptop. Oh, well, it still doesn't work with many of my important add ons, so I'm gonna have to go back to 6.0 anyway. And yes cor-el, my laptop is Win 7 64 b.
