Only in _my_ profile saving a page (complete) from any sites the default extension is xls and in *_files there are some files with xls extension containing html/javascript. When I try to open a saved page FF wants to open each of these files with Office, one by one. These stupid xls files are created (and the default extension remains xls instead of html) even if I have disabled all the extensions (flash, java, adobe) and JavaScript. It is a profile specific fenomenon but I'm afraid that some malicious code may be in the background and I would like to know what was this and how it works. Creating a new profile eliminated this xls creating staff and no other users experienced problems like this.

Linux 2.6.37.6-smp #2 SMP Firefox 20.0 (is up to date)

I'm looking forward to getting any suggestions, tips, answers, thx in advance: KEA.

XLS is typically a Microsoft Excel file type.

Yes, of course, I know. The problem is, that some files having xls extension and containing html/javascript do appear when I save a homepage, while the default extension in file/save_as is xls instead of html. Deleting those stupid xls-named html/script files does not influence the opening/loading the saved file, so they are not part of the page originally. I suppose they may be some malicious or perhaps marketing-oriented code, but I cannot discover the thing that began to generate these suspicous files. Regards, KEA.
